Stay on Target with a Quality Scope
Every experienced shooter knows that there are a hundred different factors that go into making the perfect shot. In addition to steady aim, you must first be able to visually lock onto your target with speed, control your breathing, have excellent trigger control, have a firm grip, manage the recoil and more. Clearly, great shooting requires so much more than just putting the sights on the target and pulling the trigger. While nearly every firearm is equipped with some type of aiming sights by default, a quality scope will increase your chances of driving tacks like a pro. Here are some reasons why you should consider Nikon scopes for your next purchase.

1) Faster target acquisition
Whether you are a competitive shooter, hunter or soldier, putting your sights on the target as quickly as possible will always remain your primary concern. When time is not on your side in the heat of battle, you don't have time to think. You must act instinctively and instantaneously because your life, championship win or trophy buck depends on your split-second decision making.
Firearms experts all know that accuracy is not the most important thing about making a shot. What is more important is that you are able to pull off a shot when you have an extremely limited window of time to make it. For our men and women of the military and law enforcement, the difference between life and death is a matter of seconds. In a self-defense situation, you will not have any time to make a well-placed potshot. If you are lucky, you will be able to draw and shoot in one swift motion.
Competition shooters also face the same challenges. Most competitive shooting events are timed, so speed and accuracy must go hand-in-hand. Hunters also have to make quick, well-aimed shots since animals don't remain stationary for very long. If you want to shorten the time it takes to get on target, Nikon scopes will perform when you need to perform at your best.
2) Greater accuracy and higher precision
While most firearms are outfitted with iron sights by default, they are not the most effective for accurate shooting. The front and rear sights not only have to be carefully lined up, they must be lined up on target before a shot can be made. This process takes time and can be quite difficult for people with poor eyesight. A high-quality scope offers a clear advantage over traditional iron sights: the ability to simply point and shoot.
Once zeroed, Nikon scopes will allow you to easily pull off a shot after putting the reticle on the target. Red dot scopes offer an illuminated reticle for easy target acquisition while long-distance tube scopes often have extra sight markings to account for bullet drop and other variables that might affect accuracy.
3) Zoom-ability
The one major disadvantage of iron sights is their lack of ability to zoom in on the target, making ranged shots very difficult and untimely. Many Nikon scopes provide 3x zoom or greater for precision shooters,
